Full On 80’s Party
On Friday 26th September 300 guests joined us at The iconic Midland hotel in Manchester for our annual lunch sponsored by Bolton ant Home, VM Family Law and New York New York.
The theme this year was back to the 80’s and our guests certainly channelled their inner 80’s icons. Our amazing Patron Tricia Penrose came dressed head to toe as Madonna and there was neon and net in abundance.
After a welcome drink , guests were ushered into the room to take part in our now famous tombola.
Jill Caldwell our CEO gave brilliant opening speech full of 80’s innuendos before focusing on the serious reason as to why we were there raising funds.
Our Patron and host with the most, Johnny De Mouilpied, leapt to the stage, literally, with his Flash dance medley and hilarious costumes for heads and tails.
Ali Birchenall once again provided the entertainment during lunch and then we had the 80’s icon herself Sonia who had the entire room on their feet from beginning to end.
Boy Gorgeous then finished the afternoon with his tribute to Culture Club, before we all retreated to the amazing New York New York for the after show party.
Next year on Friday 25th September we will be taking you back to the 70’s so start channelling your Disco Diva’s, glam rock heros or your favourite Scooby Doo characters!
